Haze Chopsticks — Black

Haze Chopsticks — Black

Designed for daily use, these black chopsticks strike the perfect balance between style and function. The octagonal shape offers a comfortable, secure grip, while the anti-slip finish ensures confident handling with every meal.

Made from natural wood and finished using the traditional Wakasa-nuri lacquerware technique, these chopsticks feature a smooth, muted tone that complements any table setting.

Crafted in Japan by Kawai—a lacquered chopstick specialist founded in 1943 in Obama City, the heart of Japan’s chopstick-making tradition. All Kawai chopsticks are made using the traditional Togidashi method—a 400-year-old Japanese lacquer technique known for its refined patterns and exceptional quality. Each pair undergoes multiple rounds of lacquering, a process that can take up to six months. Rooted in tradition yet designed for today, Kawai chopsticks combine timeless craftsmanship with everyday practicality.

Note: When taking sushi from a shared platter, it is considered proper etiquette not to use the end of the chopsticks that goes into your mouth. Instead, use the thicker reverse end of the chopsticks to transfer a piece of sushi to your own plate before eating. That is why some of our photos show the thicker end of the chopsticks being used.
